Los Cabos
Location
Los Cabos is located on the Southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, south of California and is often referred to as Land’s End. Los Cabos is attached to the mainland of the United States and separated from the rest of Mexico by the Sea of Cortez or Gulf of California. The Baja Peninsula stretches longer than Italy and has many different contrasting landscapes such as craggy desertscapes, forests, and manicured golf courses as well as towering rocks coming out of the sea. Winters are mild, with highs averaging in the mid-20’s. The summer months bring highs in the mid-30's. Annual rainfall is very low. Getting Around When you purchase an all-inclusive package your transfers to and from your resort from the airport are included. While in destination if you choose to do some exploring we recommend booking an excursion through your tour operator or resort, otherwise taxis, buses and car rentals are all readily available in Los Cabos. Shopping Los Cabos is known to attract the rich and famous therefore shopping cannot disappoint. Fashion in Cabo San Lucas is original and innovative. Boutiques line the side streets and range from high end designers, world class jewelers as well as bargain souvenirs and gourmet cuisine. Plazas (or shopping malls) also offer a distinct variety with the shops being in close proximity to each other. Nightlife Nightlife can be found as close as your resort disco or you can venture into Cabo San Lucas if you are looking for some variety as that is where more of the nightlife is centred. Along the northern Pacific coast you will find beach side dance floors, live bands and extended happy hours. Some hot spots are Passion in Cabo San Lucas, any of the local bars in Loreto, Calle 6 in Tijuana and Beach Bars in Rosarito and Ensenada. Golf Los Cabos has evolved as one of the world's top golf destinations. It currently has more than a dozen courses open for golfers or in the process of being built. The destination master plan calls for a total of 207 holes of play, challenging golfers at all levels. And Cabo's reliable weather means you can enjoy the championship design, quality, and exquisite desert-and-sea scenery of these courses year-round. As always we recommend doing your research ahead of time to see which courses you would like to take advantage of and book tee times if possible. |
